Imagination

Imagination – an extraordinary aspect of the human mind. Where all creativity starts; where we can play with ideas and concepts before investing materially in bringing anything into physical reality. Much of what we create in the imagination can be manifest without external help – however, many times, other people are a necessary part of converting an interior image into physical reality.

The imagination is also the place where we can visualise our performance in the world, as was mentioned during interviews by several of our stellar performers at the Olympics. The role of their coaches was to be an external guide and mentor in bringing the internal image into physical reality.

The more vivid and detailed the visualisation, the more effective this creative tool is. And a little reminder – we can create and feed negative visualisations as easily as we can positive ones. Thus an important role of a life coach is to help one to be mindful of the content of our imagery and encourage and feed the internal imagery that will support our desired intentions.

This little piece is by way of encouragement to be more aware of what the imagination is busy with, knowing the power we have to bring phantasy into physical reality.
