Learning

The process of going from not knowing to knowing - and being able to apply the knowing because the learning has been internalised. This is beyond learning facts and being able to regurgitate them in order to gain some sort of paper recognition.

The Gallup’s CliftonStrengths® assessment identifies “Learning” as one of 34 innate human talent themes which, in brief, describes a profound appetite for the process of learning and discovery. Those that have it high in their profiles, know the excitement in this journey - it is a thirst that has to be slaked constantly. However, there is an even greater excitement that comes from sharing the learning journey with others who bring different perspectives and understandings that greatly enhances the journey of discovery.

One of the great joys of coaching is observing the change in people as they learn and understand more about themselves. From this place of understanding, people can choose to make deliberate changes in their way of being that better serve them and all whose lives they touch. A coaching process involves learning together. However, the client is the one that decides how to adapt and learn in the process; only they can choose how they wish to show up in their world.
